It may be repaired on the inside or just expertly matched within the glassine. Spine of d.j has a damp stain. 7S. 6D. price on inside flap.

As with The Carreta, the scene of Traven's new work is the North-Western Section of Central America; indeed, the main character of the first book again appears in Government. The title itself has a purpose, and the whole book is informed with vigorous pointed satire. The reader will quickly perceive a striking similarity between the depiction of the Government here presented and that of other States. Traven well understands how to combine his wide knowledge of the people with whom he is dealing with a highly stirring narrative, and he succeeds both in his purely descriptive passages and in his presentation of character in a manner which is common only to great writers.
