About Us

All books on this website are from the collection of Janet and Charlie Muto, our dear book collecting friends. They moved from Washington D.C. to Toledo in the mid 90s and found our bookstore, Frogtown Books, soon after they settled in. They used to stop by every day to help put books on shelves. We hunted books together and partied together for many years. Charlie’s knowledge of issue points was phenomenal. Even into his 90s he had a fantastic memory. He read his books every day. D. H. Lawrence, T. S. Eliot, W. B. Yeats, Robinson Jeffers and Wyndham Lewis were some of his favorites. Janet also read avidly. She liked Arthur Upfield and Nevil Shute, Dorothy Sayers and Mervyn Peake. We miss our dear friends and are honored to be given the opportunity to offer their books for sale to other collectors. - Cheryl and Pete Baughman
