New York and London: Alfred A. Knopf, 1940. Stated First Edition. Front endpapers a little toned. Coffee stain on bottom edge of text block. Small gouge to bottom edge of text block which affects a few pages at the bottom edge at the gutter. (See last picture.) Otherwise a tight clean, very good copy. Near fine. / in dust jacket repaired on inside with acid free tape. It shows a few shallow chips at top and bottom of spine and some rubbing at fold of front flap.
